Returns are scattered, manual, and quietly expensive.

A typical NL fashion brand selling on Bol, Zalando and Shopify juggles three return portals, exports CSVs by hand, and pays an accountant to clean up VAT once a quarter. Nobody owns the chain end-to-end.

PAIN 01

Return chaos across channels

A Bol return lives in the Bol portal. A Zalando return is somewhere else. Own-shop returns sit in Shopify. Three dashboards, three logins, no overview — and your customer-service team has to know all of them.

PAIN 02

Manual credit notes, every single time

Each return needs a VAT-correct credit note in Moneybird, e-Boekhouden or Exact. With NL, DE and BE customers the rate changes per country — and your bookkeeper does it by hand.

"The connector uses the default VAT percentage… not suitable when you sell at both 21% and 9% on Bol." — Webwinkelfacturen documentation, 2025
PAIN 03

Bol's monthly payout is a puzzle

Bol pays you one lump sum and silently subtracts returns, commissions, and processing fees. Sellers spend hours each month matching the bank deposit to individual orders — what the Dutch call afletteren.

PAIN 04

OSS VAT leaks 1–3% of GMV

A German customer returning a jacket means German VAT must be credited back — not Dutch. No existing return tool calculates the destination-country split. The leak is invisible until your accountant flags it next quarter.

Four moving parts, one clean chain.

Plug in your channels and your accounting tool. Return Delta does the matching, the VAT, and the credit notes — overnight, in the background.

Step 01 · Ingest

Every return, in one inbox.

Native connectors pull return events from the Bol Retailer API, Zalando via ChannelEngine, Amazon Seller Central, and your Shopify webhooks. New returns surface in seconds — with the original order, the customer's country, the reason code, and the SKU already attached.

  • Auto-merge multi-line returns from one order
  • Deduplicate Bol/own-shop double-listings
  • Surface forum-flagged abuse patterns (broken seal, repeat offender)

Step 02 · Calculate

The right VAT, for the right country.

Return Delta carries the customer's country through the chain. A returning German customer triggers a 19% credit; a Belgian customer 21% in the BE-OSS bucket; a Dutch customer 21% domestic. The split is on the line, not at quarter-end.

  • Built-in OSS rate table — auto-updated from EU tax authorities
  • Mixed-rate orders (21% + 9% items on one Bol invoice) handled per line
  • Cross-border retourkosten reimbursement booked correctly
Step 03 · Reconcile

Bol's lump sum, matched to the cent.

Bol pays once or twice a month — sales minus commissions minus returns minus processing fees, all rolled into a single bank deposit. Return Delta auto-matches each line of the Bol payout to the corresponding order or return in your books. Afletteren in minutes, not hours.

  • Matches return-fee deductions to specific return events
  • Flags the long-tail: returns from one period that hit the next payout
  • One-click export to Moneybird as a clean reconciliation entry

Step 04 · Learn

The signal you've never had — why things come back.

Every return carries a reason. Return Delta turns ten thousand reason codes into the dashboard you actually need: which SKUs, which sizes, which channels, which countries are draining margin — and where to act first.

  • SKU-level return-rate alerts when a product spikes
  • Size-curve heatmap — fix your size chart before the next drop
  • Cohort view: are first-time buyers returning more than repeats?

The chain needs three rare skills bundled together.

Marketplace APIs, Dutch accounting connectors, and OSS VAT logic. The incumbents each do one. Return Delta is the first tool to do all three for the NL SMB fashion seller.
